About Wimmelbilder Tales
When I was young, I was very fascinated by pictures such as Where’s Waldo and Highlights Hidden Pictures. I discovered the word for these pictures is the German word Wimmelbilderbuch, which means “teeming picture book.” This is my inspiration for this anthology. Each tale is just one part of a larger picture literally teeming with characters.
For me, Wimmelbilder Tales is an exciting opportunity to have some fun with writing and explore different genres, feelings, and diction. Most stories will be science fiction and fantasy, but I'll dip into horror for one story! I’ll also be trying different points of views and tenses.
Each story will be loosely connected to another. Other than an outline, I’m pantsing the hell out of this thing. Things might get a little messy. I hope you enjoy!
Eventually I would love to get an actual hidden picture image associated to this anthology. This is filed under out-of-scope/wishlist for now. A girl can dream, though!
About the Author
My name is Chloe Lerit. I am a Filipino American writer residing in Southern California. My debut flash fiction SF story "Zephyr" can be found in the Five Minutes at Hotel Stormcove anthology by Atthis Arts. Some of the tales here were inspired by my daily stories in the #vss365 Twitter community. When I’m not crafting my own fantasy worlds, I’m traveling around Earth, playing bass guitar, or creating magic as a software engineer.
